Meet D
The person behind HealingByD
I have always been curious about what lies beneath the surface. Why people think the way they do. Why we repeat certain patterns. Why some experiences stay with us long after they are over.
And why understanding something can sometimes change the way we experience it.
MY JOURNEY
My professional life has largely been in technology and finance. Over the years, I have worked across banking and technology, learning how systems work, how people interact with them, and how small changes can create very different outcomes.
Alongside that world, I kept exploring another set of questions — questions around awareness, behaviour, energy, spirituality and the human experience.
I read. I observed. I questioned. I experimented.
Over time, these interests stopped feeling like separate parts of my life.
They started becoming different ways of looking at the same thing: understanding what is happening beneath the surface.

OBSERVATION
We often try to change things before we have really observed them. We react to emotions without understanding them. We repeat patterns without noticing them. We look for answers before asking better questions. And sometimes, what we need first is not another answer, but a clearer way of seeing. Observation creates that space. It allows us to pause between what happens and how we respond. That pause can reveal patterns, assumptions, emotions and possibilities that are easy to miss when we are simply moving through life. This is one of the reasons observation has become such an important part of my work.
TAROT
My relationship with Tarot grew from the same curiosity. I became interested not simply in what a card is traditionally said to mean, but in what happens when we actually sit with an image, a symbol and a question. What do we notice? What do we immediately identify with? What makes us uncomfortable? What do we ignore? What changes when we look again?

For me, Tarot became less about predicting what will happen and more about observing what is already happening. A card can act as a mirror. It can help bring something into awareness that was difficult to see, express or understand before. That way of working with Tarot became an important part of HealingByD.
Healing
Healing is not something I see as a promise that everything will suddenly become perfect. I see it more as a process of becoming aware of what we carry, understanding what may be shaping our experience, and creating space to work with it. Sometimes that begins with a conversation. Sometimes with observation. Sometimes with Tarot. Sometimes with energy work. Different tools can open different doors. What matters to me is what happens through the exploration — greater awareness, deeper understanding and the possibility of relating to ourselves and our experiences differently. HealingByD grew from the intersection of all these explorations. It is not only about Tarot. It is not only about healing. It is not only about learning. At its heart, HealingByD is about seeing more clearly. It is a space where observation, awareness, Tarot, healing, learning and reflection can come together.
The idea is simple: Observe. Understand. Heal. Transform. Observation helps us see. Understanding helps us recognise what we are seeing. Healing allows us to work with what needs attention. And transformation begins when our relationship with ourselves and our experience starts to change.
I don't see HealingByD as a finished idea. It is an evolving body of work. There is still much I want to explore, understand and share — through sessions, teaching, writing, courses and new ways of looking at the human experience. Some of those explorations are already here. Others are still taking shape. That is part of the journey. I don't think a title tells you very much about a person. Tarot reader. Healer. Teacher. Student. Technologist. These can describe parts of what I do, but they don't fully describe who I am. I am still learning. Still observing. Still questioning. Still changing my understanding of things. And perhaps that is the most honest way I can introduce myself.
